We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals while adhering to food safety standards and maintaining a clean kitchen environment. This role requires a strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Assist in the planning and execution of daily menus, including special dietary requirements.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Skills
Proven experience in meal preparation within a restaurant or culinary environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team.
Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes.
