We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Cook. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, focusing on food preparation and culinary excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for cooking and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
Prepare meals according to established recipes and menus, ensuring consistency and quality.
Assist in the cooking process, utilising various cooking techniques and equipment.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to food safety regulations.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages as needed.
Participate in the training of new kitchen staff, sharing knowledge of best practices in food preparation and safety.
Support the serving team during peak hours to ensure efficient service delivery.
Requirements
Proven experience in food preparation or cooking within a professional kitchen setting.
Strong culinary skills with a good understanding of meal preparation techniques.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
Previous experience is highly desirable.
Ability to work effectively alone & as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
