About the role:
The Cook will provide, manage and develop a high quality catering service for the people they support, operate a safe, professional and cost effective catering service complying with all statutory requirements
.
To provide a high quality food catering service within the allocated budget, whilst promoting healthy eating and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, in partnership with the wider staff team. Prepare and cook a variety of meals to meet the dietary needs and preferences of the people we support
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations
Monitor stock levels and place orders
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
About you
Good attention to detail with a passion for keeping busy, you will enjoy working in a busy kitchen that provides excellent meals and snacks to residents with learning disabilities and autism.

About The Service
We are a residential care home situated in the heart of Murton, County Durham, providing 24/7 support and care to 10 people with learning disabilities and/or autism. At Murton Grange - Swanton Care, we promote independence in a person-centred approach.
