Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of culinary techniques and food safety practices. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation and ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly, delivering high-quality dishes to our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations. Assist in the planning of menus and meal presentations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages. Help train new kitchen staff in cooking techniques and safety procedures. Participate in the development of new recipes and menu items.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and meal presentation. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
