Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a cook / shop assistant . This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and shop contributing to the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals. Maintaining shop stock and cleaning and hygiene standards the ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in food preparation and cooking, with a keen understanding of food safety standards.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality expectations Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods Participate in menu planning and development, offering creative input where appropriate Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock management to ensure availability of ingredients Support serving staff during meal service, ensuring that dishes are presented beautifully

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations to maintain a safe working environment Previous experience in a restaurant setting is highly desirable Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure A passion for creating delicious meals and an eagerness to learn and develop culinary skills further
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-18.46 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 30 per week
