2 days one week at 12.21 a hour and every other weekend at 12.50 per hour
You will be working in the kitchen to provide well balanced home cooked food for the home's residents and understand the needs of various individuals. A passion for creating great dishes and supervising a kitchen assistant.
Principal Duties
Designing delicious menus for our residents, at all times considering resident's individual preferences and dietary requirements
Preparing and serving high quality dishes
Guiding, directing and coaching kitchen staff
Working closely with chef assistants and senior management team
Stock control; stock replenishing/ ordering
Managing the Food Safety and Health and safety requirements and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and up to date
Budget control
Immaculate hygiene standards.
Delegate tasks to kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner.
Ensuring the kitchen is stocked with cooking utensils and equipment
Modify recipes to meet residents needs and requests
Check freshness of food and discard out of date items
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulation within the kitchen area
Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
Excellent time management abilities
Familiarity with sanitation regulations
