Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards
Assist in the planning and execution of meal preparation, ensuring timely service
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations
Provide excellent service by assisting with plating and serving dishes when required
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management
Requirements
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
Previous experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen environment is highly desirable
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings and weekends
