A role suitable for a Cook with experience in a professional/commercial environment, to join our fantastic team in the Woody's kitchen.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment essential, good traditional cooking skills, with the ability to work effectively both as part of a team and under own initiative.
Duties include running kitchen sections such as the 'hot' grill/fryers, cold food area and batch cooking; maintaining exceptional service standards by following specs and taking care in the cooking and presentation of dishes; creating 'scratch-cooked' dishes appropriate to Woody's clientele; maintaining high food hygiene standards; daily cleaning of the kitchen.
A calm demeanour with the ability to work at speed and fulfil customer orders to a high standard is essential.
Good basic reading and writing skills, and experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment essential.
Food hygiene level 2 qualification preferable, but not essential as training can be provided.
Full time position, always including one day at the weekend (alternating), occasionally both.
Shifts 8.30am - 4.30pm including half hour unpaid lunch break.
Position requires the flexibility to change/increase hours when needed to cover holidays, sickness, peak seasons etc.
