Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and culinary techniques, ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires a commitment to maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and adhering to food safety regulations while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus. Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety standards and regulations. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, including regular cleaning of workstations and equipment. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as necessary. Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures.

Skills

Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, meal preparation, and food safety practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively. Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with team members. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight guests.
