We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to excellence in meal preparation. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dishes to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service requirements
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and portioning
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management
Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Support the Head Chef in menu planning and development as needed
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant environment
Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, ensuring safe usage
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
