Job Description
We are recruiting a Cook to join the team within a successful town centre cafe in Whitehaven. The position is permanent and full time (35 hours per week) and you will be working 5 days per week with two days off. It\xe2\x80\x99s working in the day time (no evenings!).
The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who has previously worked in a busy kitchen in a cafe, restaurant, school, care home, pub or hotel.
Your new job
- Preparation and cooking.
- Plating meals according to orders and special requests.
- Input into menus and specials.
- Traditional cafe fayre (breakfasts, mains, snacks and desserts).
- Monitoring ingredient and supply levels and re-ordering stock.
- Stock rotation.
- Ensuring food storage and meal preparation follows food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Previous experience as a Cook.
- Ability to follow recipes.
- Food safety and hygiene regulations knowledge.
- Organised.
- Calm when it gets busy.
- Team player.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Hourly pay rate of around \xc2\xa311.00.
