Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a care home kitchen or restaurant environment and possess a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. A passion for cooking and creativity in meal preparation. Ability to work collaboratively within a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: 13.10-13.80 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
