Job Description

At Ar Curam, we provide care, support and accommodation for children and young people aged between 8-17 years old in small residential care homes where we aim to achieve excellent outcomes for the children and young people in our care.

At the moment, the majority of our Residential services are based in the North East of England, with 1 in Scotland, however this role will be required to be based at the office in Hillington working alongside the Managing Director and Head of HR.

In line with our expansion, and expansion plans, we are currently looking someone to join the team supporting with general administration, however this will be heavily weighted on Recruitment and HR Admin. Other areas of admin covered will include Training, Facilities, Fleet, GRPR and Health and Safety. There will be scope for growth within this role for the right candidate.

This is an Administrative Support function key to the efficient running of Core Functions. The successful candidate must have excellent Administration, organisational and communication skills, coupled with an eye for attention to detail. The candidate should be able to work efficiently, on their own initiative and prioritise effectively. Solid working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programmes, and particularly Excel and Word as essential.

The ideal candidate will also hold existing knowledge of HR Administration and Recruitment processes and have experience of working in line with Safer Recruitment and the Children's Homes Regulations, to include Ofsted requirements, however this is not essential where the candidate has strong administration skills, sound computer literacy, prioritisation skills and willingness to learn and develop.

This is a full time permanent role. 37.5 hours per week. We may however consider applications for lesser hours- minimum 30 per week. Flexitime can also be discussed.

Knowledge and experience of dealing with data in compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA) and Freedom of Information Act is highly desirable as is experience of working with the Myrus (or another) training systems, though not essential.
