Our Corporate and Commercial Banking Summer Internship encourages you to embrace change, put forward ideas and seek innovative solutions. You\xe2\x80\x99ll build meaningful relationships with our Corporate, SME and Institutional customers, identifying their ambitions and helping actualise them. You\xe2\x80\x99ll work with some of our most innovative customer-focused teams to help make banking simple, personal and fair.
Over 10 weeks, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be exposed to various diverse products and business areas, which could include Corporate & Commercial Coverage, Credit Risk function, Business & Change Management, Credit Enablement and Business Risk & Controls. This will help you to gain a well-rounded understanding, as well as having the opportunities to build on technical expertise. Throughout the programme you\xe2\x80\x99ll be given plenty of support from some of the most passionate colleagues in the industry, all while developing the skills, knowledge and leadership experience you\xe2\x80\x99ll need to influence the future of banking.
WHERE YOU\xe2\x80\x99LL WORK
Our current expectation is at least 2 days in an office every week. You could be based in any major city and our main locations include London, Milton Keynes, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and Glasgow.
WHAT WE\xe2\x80\x99RE LOOKING FOR IN YOU

  • For penultimate year students - a predicted pass in any degree subject, 112 UCAS (top 3 A Level grades or equivalent excluding General Studies and Extended Project).
  • The ability to truly listen to customers and colleagues, talk straight and build lasting relationships
  • Excellent numerical and writing skills
  • A highly collaborative approach to work The confidence to speak up with great ideas, embrace change and seek innovative new ways of doing things
