Job Description

Meta seeks an experienced tech enthusiast to serve as a Counsel on Meta's AI counseling team. The role is dedicated to advising the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning teams on legal and regulatory issues, which will require application of complex, evolving legal frameworks to a new and innovative space. This is a great opportunity to join a growing legal team and to work on novel issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment, as we build and scale our global community. This is a full-time position.

Counsel, AI Responsibilities:

Review proposed AI and ML (Machine Learning) initiatives to provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies for products across multiple jurisdictions Provide product, engineering, and other business teams with legal advice across many subject areas including consumer protection laws, IP (Intellectual Property), data protection laws and regulations, and other global legal frameworks Coordinate with public policy, communications and other cross-functional teams on multi-disciplinary issues

Minimum Qualifications:

Meta requires all employed attorneys to have a law degree or equivalent certificate to permit the practice of law and be appropriately licensed and authorized to practice law for the company in their assigned work location. Unless prohibited under local law, an attorney must hold a current practicing certificate (including where required from the relevant authority in the jurisdiction of the assigned work location) or the local law equivalent bar registration or license as may be applicable 3+ years of legal experience Experience working with mobile, application development, social networking, or other Internet companies Experience working in autonomy and cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications:

In-house and privacy experience Technology litigation experience Understanding of AI and ML practices and the underlying technology Product review experience International experience
