Job Description

We are recruiting a motivated individual who is seeking secure long-term employment as a Counter Assistant within a busy and well established fish & chip shop.

Duties will include; learning how to provide a high level of customer service i.e. taking orders from customers, cashing orders up and serving food to customers etc.; learning how to maintain high standards of hygiene and food handling i.e. cleaning work surfaces, washing dishes, rotating restocked food/drink items etc.

It would welcomed but it is not necessary for applicants to have a background within a customer facing role but the successful applicant must be capable of listening to others and following instructions and must be able to work as part of a team. This position is being offered on a full-time or a part-time basis (20-30 hours per week) however there must flexibility to work week days, evenings & weekends.

A competitive rate of pay to the industry standard will be offered to the successful applicant and will take into consideration any current skills and relevant experience. Similarly, as skills and experience develop within the job role, the rate of pay will be revised to reflect increased responsibilities as training progresses.

As outlined, experience is not essential however any references from previous employment, training or education would be preferred.
