Job Description

We are looking for an confident, outgoing, smart person to be the face of The Gourmet Butcher Cardiff. Being front of house you will be responsible for delivering the high quality shopping experience that is expected when our customers visit the shop. Be able to engage in conversation, offer advice and even cooking tips but don't worry all that training will be provided. If you have a passion for good food, great conversation then we want to hear from you ! Current Rota is Thursday - Saturday @ 12.50 p hr, weekly pay via bacs. flexibility will be needed to cover holidays and busy periods. Uniform and food safety training will be provided.

Welsh speaking would also be a great addition.

Main Responsibilities

Welcoming customers and assisting them with their queries and purchases at the sales counter.

Handling cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently.

Maintaining a clean and organised counter area.

Providing product information and recommending items to suit customer needs.

Restocking shelves and ensuring displays are tidy and attractive.

Dealing with customer returns and exchanges in accordance with company policy.

Requirements

Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred but not essential.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.

Numerical skills and attention to detail for handling transactions.

Flexible availability, including weekends and bank holidays.
