. We are looking for a
Counter Sales / Warehouse Assistant
to become part of our growing team.
About the Role:
As a Counter Sales / Warehouse Assistant, you will play a key role in both customer service and branch operations. You'll serve customers at the trade counter, handle incoming calls, process orders, and also assist in the warehouse with stock control, goods-in, and deliveries. You'll help ensure we continue to deliver excellent customer service while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the branch.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve customers face-to-face at the trade counter and by phone, taking orders, providing product advice, and resolving queries
Support warehouse operations including goods-in, picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for delivery or collection
Maintain stock levels, carry out stock checks, and ensure stock is stored safely and accurately
Actively promote products and offers to maximise sales and achieve branch targets
Liaise with suppliers and monitor customer orders to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries
Keep the warehouse and trade counter areas clean, safe, and organised
Who We're Looking For:
A team player with excellent customer service and communication skills
Comfortable working both on the trade counter and in the warehouse
Computer literate and confident with basic administration tasks
Ideally, you will have previous experience in a merchant, warehouse, or plumbing & heating environment, but this is not essential as full training will be provided
Self-motivated, organised, and willing to learn
Key Skills and Competencies:
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable with manual handling and warehouse duties
Product knowledge of plumbing and heating materials (advantageous but not essential)

Working Hours:
Full-time, Monday to Friday, plus Saturday mornings on a rota basis.

Pay: 29,415.84 per year
