Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Trade Counter Sales & Shop Assistant to join our great team based at our Ammanford Branch.
Main duties include:
Ensuring all products are checked off in an accurate and timely manner along with checking for damages and quantities.
Assisting customers by assessing their needs and providing them with accurate and professional advice on product suitability, specification, pricing and availability at all times.
Following up all sales enquiries and quotations.
Maintaining and developing existing and new customer relationships.
Understanding margins and costs.
Continually developing and updating your product knowledge through in-house training and experience.
Completing all necessary paperwork in line with company procedures.
Ensuring efficient stock ordering procedures.
Maintaining a clean, tidy and attractive shop area and storage spaces at all times.
Assisting in the loading and offloading of deliveries from suppliers and our own delivery vehicles.
Displaying a flexible, hands-on approach to all aspects of work.
Working as part of a team but also able to work on your own initiative.
Exceeding our customers' expectations by dealing with them professionally and courteously, by telephone, e-mail or face-to-face in the showroom.
Ensuring a high standard of customer care, service and after-sales support at all times.
Attending in-house and external training as and when required.
Adhering to Health & Safety procedures at all times.
The Person:

Good numeracy, literacy and IT skills.

Has good knowledge of Building products.

Is well organised and structured in delivery of customer requirements.
Possesses excellent customer service skills, naturally generating relationships with new and existing trade and retail customers and is able to deal with customer queries and problems promptly as required.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4.30pm plus alternate Saturday mornings 8.00am to 12.00pm.
