Job Summary

DOCS Ardglass are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Counter Assistant to join our team on a part time basis. Shifts will be on a rota basis and will include a mixture of weekdays, evenings and weekends so please do not apply if you could not work that's shifts!

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service while assisting with food preparation and maintaining a clean and organised environment. This position requires a passion for customer service and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately. Assist in food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter and kitchen area. Help with the presentation of food items, ensuring they are appealing to customers. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately using basic maths skills. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control. Address customer inquiries and provide assistance as needed.

Skills

Experience in food preparation or culinary roles is advantageous. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential. Ability to work well under pressure in a busy restaurant environment. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders. A proactive attitude towards helping others and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Pay: 7.50-12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 16 per week
