Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Counter Staff to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service while assisting with food preparation, sandwich making and ensuring a clean and safe environment. This position is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced setting and have a passion for the customer service.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and take their orders efficiently. Assist in food preparation, the cooming of breakfast items and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area and kitchen. Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills. Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Collaborate with bakery and butchery staff to ensure timely service of food items. Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed promptly during busy periods. Address customer inquiries and provide assistance as needed.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a shop or culinary environment is preferred but not essential. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Basic knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition. A willingness to learn and help others within the team. Familiarity with upselling techniques is a plus.

Hours would be between 7.30AM and 4.30PM Monday to Saturday. Saturday shift would be required.
