To oversee and manage staff, procedures and processes in relation to cover;
Liaise with Heads of Department to anticipate any cover support required;
Allocation of cover for unforeseen absence of teaching staff;
Forward planning of known absenteeism using Bromcom;
Organisation and allocation of tasks for cover staff;
Management of external agency cover staff where necessary, including induction to ensure readiness for lessons;
Communication of cover requirements/allocations to stakeholders;
Ensure cover issues are promptly brought to the attention of a member of the SLT;
To maintain a cover diary;
To produce absence statistics as required;
To develop and maintain relationships with cover agencies;
To maintain a high level of confidentially;
To line manage the school cover supervisors;
HR Administration:
Cover the UCC absence phone line;
Monitor levels of absence and maintain an accurate record;
Ensure all return-to-work interviews are held by line managers and documented;
Organise staff flu vaccinations schedule;
Support the administration of the PIP process for all staff;
General Administrative tasks:
Undertake a varied range of administrative duties to include: data / report checking, Reception cover, data entry, taking of new staff photos, minute taking, invigilation etc.
