Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating cranes and other heavy machinery to lift, move, and position materials within a warehouse or construction site. This role requires a strong understanding of materials handling and mechanical knowledge, ensuring that all operations are conducted safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Operate cranes and other heavy equipment to transport materials as required. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functionality. Collaborate with team members to coordinate the movement of materials for shipping and receiving activities. Assist in loading and unloading lorries, ensuring that all items are handled safely. Maintain an organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Support warehouse operations by digging, building, and performing other tasks as necessary.

Skills

Proficient in materials handling techniques and practices. Experience with commercial driving and operating forklifts is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and coordination. Previous experience in warehouse operations or shipping/receiving is preferred.
