The Creative Editor is a member of the studio team with a strong motion design skillset and excellent editing skills, who collaborates with the Studio team to produce top-level content.
Working across video projects, the Creative Editor excels at editing, with a particular eye for energetic, and visually captivating content. They can also create bespoke motion elements and interweave these into their editing, enhancing video content to stand out on social feeds.
Vertical video for platforms like TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels will be a key part of the Creative Editor's output. They should bring a "social-first" mindset and use their expertise to tailor edits to suit each platform's tone and format to maximise engagement. They will also plan for multi-aspect ratio workflows where appropriate.
They are technically proficient in editing and motion-related software, have an excellent eye for pacing and tone, and a strong editorial sense, understanding client and audience demands. They will also have strong written English skills as subtitling will be required for the majority of their edits.
Comfortable working independently with oversight and direction from senior members of the team, they are equally adept at collaborating with a team and sharing knowledge with their peers.
They are a creative thinker, able to visualise concepts and are confident expressing ideas to the internal team and occasionally, externally to clients.
