Creative Producer

Southampton, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

This is a role where you can make a real difference to the lives of young people in Southampton. You will use your creative facilitation experience to empower young people to realise their talents and gain the skills and knowledge they need to put their project ideas into action.

About The Agency

The Agency is a creative entrepreneurship programme enabling young people aged 15 to 25 to create social change projects based on the needs they identify in their own communities. The programme launched in the UK in 2013 through a partnership between Battersea Arts Centre (BAC), Contact and People's Palace Projects. Energise Me launched The Agency Southampton in May 2021. Since then, we have been bringing together arts, non-arts and community organisations across the City united in the vision of making a real difference to the lives of young people.

This cohort of young people started the initial 10-week Cycle 1 programme in September. They're being supported to develop their desires and ideas into plans to deliver their own social enterprises. Using an arts-based methodology founded in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, The Agency provides development opportunities for young people, helping them to launch ambitious projects that will positively impact their local area. It gives young people agency to affect real change in their own community.

Three projects will be selected by an independent panel of business, cultural and community development experts to receive 2,000 funding each and a further 18-weeks of support to deliver the projects in the community. That's where you come in! We are looking for a Creative Producer to join our team and support them to turn their ideas into reality.
