The Institute of Imagination (iOi) is seeking a Creative Production Coordinator to support the planning, design and delivery of hands-on creative learning programmes with children, families and communities across London.
This is a varied, practical role combining programme coordination, workshop and event delivery support, co-design, and hands-on organisation of materials and equipment.

About the Role



The Creative Production Coordinator plays a key role within the Experience and Learning team, supporting the smooth delivery of creative programmes and events. The role is highly hands-on and collaborative, working closely with colleagues, facilitators, children and families to create inclusive, playful and high-quality learning experiences. The work is varied and dynamic -- from organising the creative studio and preparing materials, to supporting workshops, co-design sessions and community events across London.

Key Responsibilities



Programme Production & Delivery (70% Focus)



Logistics Management:

Provide end-to-end logistical and operational support to ensure the smooth delivery of workshops, events, and community programmes, particularly those engaging diverse audiences.

Hands-on Coordination:

Manage practical delivery needs, including set-up, pack-down, and the organisation of equipment and materials across multiple community settings.

Operational Support:

Offer day-to-day operational support, proactively troubleshooting issues to maintain high standards of delivery.

Programme Design & Engagement (30% Focus)



Co-Design Support:

Support the co-design, testing, and refinement of new workshops and activities, working collaboratively with children, caregivers and educators.

Facilitation Support:

Assist facilitators during sessions and engage directly with families to help create an inclusive, welcoming, and positive learning environment.

Person Specification



Essential Skills & Experience



Proven Experience:

Experience coordinating programmes or events, ideally within the education, creative learning, or charity sector.

Inclusive Facilitation:

Experience delivering or supporting creative, educational, or community workshops for diverse audiences, including children, parents, and educators.

Interpersonal Skills:

Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to engage sensitively and positively with a wide range of stakeholders.

Organisational Strength:

Strong organisational, time management, and practical problem-solving skills.

Mindset:

Collaborative, proactive, adaptable, and aligned with the iOi's values, with a genuine commitment to equity and inclusion.

Availability:

Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends to support programme delivery.

Desirable Attributes



Experience with co-design or participatory design methodologies in community settings. Knowledge of, or lived experience in, our focus boroughs (e.g., Tower Hamlets, Newham). Experience in the creative industries or arts education.

Pay: 27,000.00-30,000.00 per year
