. This role offers children the chance to explore storytelling, develop writing skills, and build confidence while sharing their ideas in a supportive and enjoyable environment.
The club takes place
Thursdays, 12:15pm - 1:00pm (45 minutes per week).
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a small group of primary-aged children during creative writing sessions.
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote imagination, storytelling, and self-expression.
Encourage confidence, curiosity, and a positive attitude towards writing.
Communicate clearly with school staff and, where appropriate, parents regarding children's involvement and progress.
Ensure all materials and the working space are organised, safe, and ready for each session.
Experience & Skills
Experience teaching creative writing, literacy, or related subjects to children in schools or club environments.
Ability to motivate and inspire children in a structured yet fun and supportive way.
Strong English communication skills for effective interaction with children and school staff.
A background in education, English, literature, or creative writing is desirable.
