. This role provides children with the opportunity to explore storytelling, develop literacy skills, and express their ideas creatively in a fun, supportive environment.
The club runs
Tuesdays, 3:30pm - 4:30pm (1 hour per week).
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a small group of primary-aged children in engaging creative writing activities.
Plan and deliver enjoyable, age-appropriate sessions that encourage imagination, storytelling, and self-expression.
Inspire confidence, curiosity, and a love for writing in young learners.
Maintain clear communication with school staff and, where appropriate, parents regarding children's progress.
Ensure all materials and the teaching space are organised, safe, and ready for each session.
Experience & Skills
Experience teaching creative writing, literacy, or English to children in schools, clubs, or educational settings.
Ability to motivate and engage children in a structured yet enjoyable environment.
Strong English communication skills for effective interaction with children, staff, and parents.
A background in writing, literature, education, or related fields is desirable.
