Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tutoring or teaching, with experience working with children, including those with special educational needs. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment that fosters academic growth and confidence in students.

This would be for an afterschool club at a primary school in Wombourne, Wolverhampton, WV5

Any day - Monday - Thursday 3:20pm - 4:20pm

Responsibilities

Provide group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs. Develop customised lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and address specific learning objectives. Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to ensure effective learning outcomes. Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student engagement and motivation. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and educators regarding student progress and areas for improvement. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessment results. Collaborate with other educators to support students with special educational needs and adapt teaching methods as required.

Requirements

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably in a formal educational setting. Experience working with children, demonstrating an understanding of their developmental needs. Knowledge of special education practices is advantageous but not mandatory. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and parents. Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate students of varying abilities. A relevant qualification in education or a related field is preferred but not essential.
