About the Role
As Credit Control Manager, you will take ownership of the Groups credit control function, leading a small but talented team and driving forward the collections strategy. Your expertise will shape processes, improve efficiencies, and maintain the organisations strong financial reputation.
You'll be at the heart of a collaborative finance department, playing a key role in enhancing performance and supporting broader business objectives.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop a dedicated credit control team
  • Drive and refine the Group's collections strategy
  • Take a proactive approach to resolving misallocations and unallocated cash
  • Develop and implement debt reduction policies and procedures
  • Act as the first point of escalation for complex queries and disputes
  • Deliver training and mentorship across the team
  • Analyse data to spot trends and take action before issues arise
  • Build lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure the company's excellent reputation is upheld at all times
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience managing a customer-focused credit control or finance team
  • Background in social care or charity sector finance (preferred)
  • Familiarity with NetSuite (preferred but not essential)
  • A strong understanding of accounting principles and the sales ledger
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and boosting performance
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A proactive, adaptable approach with a can-do attitude
  • A confident leader who can inspire, support, and develop their team
