Overview

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the credit control process, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. This role is crucial in safeguarding the company's cash flow and minimising financial risk.

Responsibilities

Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments are received. Conduct credit checks on new and existing clients to assess risk levels. Prepare and send out invoices, statements, and reminders for overdue accounts. Liaise with clients regarding outstanding debts and negotiate payment plans where necessary. Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions related to credit control. Collaborate with the sales team to resolve any disputes or queries related to invoices. Generate reports on aged debtors and provide insights for management review. Assist in the development of credit control policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.

Skills

Strong numerical skills with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective client interaction. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable is advantageous but not essential.
