As a key member of the Crematorium team. You will be required to partake in all aspects of the crematorium to ensure we deliver a professional and empathetic service to our Veterinary and Private Clients alike.
Working directly under the leadership of our Crematorium Manager and as part of a caring and committed team, the role will be varied and your ability to gain experience will allow you to develop your own skills further.
Responsibilities
Whilst primarily the role is Preparing and Placing ashes within the requested vessel, this position is not limited to this and you may be asked to undertake any of the below noted unexhaustive duties.
Ensuring Cremations are undertaken with care and consideration.
Prepare and place ashes within the requested vessel.
Undertake allocated tasks with care and attention to detail ensuring customer Cremation requests are accurately followed
Ensure all Company documentation is completed accurately and at the time in regard to the given tasks
As and when required, you will be available to collect deceased animals and clinical waste from Veterinary Practices.
Assist with un-loading vehicles from our veterinary collection rounds Ensuring allocated correctly in the allocated areas, leaving the crematorium area and yard areas clean, tidy and in accordance with yard standards
Adhere to directions from the Crematorium Manager (and/ or supervisor)
Ensure veterinary consumable orders are selected and prepared for the collection drivers.
Assist in unloading and storing consumables received on site
Assist in completing monthly stock takes.
Ensure the cleanliness of the yard and surrounding areas is maintained at all times.
Be proactive in assisting in resolving and completing issues arising from deliveries/ collections
To uphold company values when carrying out responsibilities and when working with colleagues, pet owners, customers and suppliers to ensure Company policies are adhered to and to carry out allocated activities in line with company procedures
To follow company Health and Safety Guidelines and ensure own safety, and the safety of others who may be affected by your actions
Any other duties that the Crematorium Manager deems reasonable.
