Job Overview

We, Flynn's Fine Foods ltd are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Yard person to join our food production team based at our factory in Roslea, Co. Fermanagh N. Ireland.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating the movement of goods and ensuring timely deliveries, light maintenance work. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to analyse data, and proficiency in transportation management systems. The Intaker & Dispatcher will be responsible for maintaining efficient operations while providing exceptional service to our clients.

Duties

Coordinate and schedule shipments, ensuring timely dispatch of goods. Off loading and loading fresh and frozen meats. Ensuring the correct amount of stock is received in as per delivery note. Ensuring the correct amount of stock is dispatched in as per delivery note. Perform data entry tasks accurately to maintain up-to-date records. Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues. Communicating with van drivers and Food production manager to ensure stock is available for loading. Light Maintenance duties. Problem Solving. Keeping the yard clean and tidy. Analyse shipping and receiving data to optimise routes and improve efficiency. Stock control and Stock rotation in cold stores. Keeping yard and areas clean and tidy at all times. Utilise software such Intact. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when interacting with customers and partners.

Experience

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

Experience in shipping and receiving processes. Strong data entry skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Keeping the yard, refrigeration areas clean and tidy. Previous experience in a dispatch or logistics role is beneficial but not mandatory.
