Customer Service/kitchen Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Catering Assistant to join our nursery team and support the chef in delivering high-quality meals for children and young babies. This is a part-time position, working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 10:00am to 4:00pm (6 hours per day).
The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of catering practices and be confident in preparing and serving fresh, nutritious food in a childcare setting. Strong food preparation skills are essential, along with knowledge of food allergies, COSHH regulations, and HACCP procedures.
We are looking for someone who can work efficiently both independently and collaboratively with the chef, maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment. Upholding our five-star food hygiene rating is a key responsibility of this role.
A valid Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is required. However, applicants who meet all other criteria but whose certification has recently expired may be considered, with potential support offered to complete refresher training upon employment.
