Manchester based importer and distributor of infant/nursery products seeks a dedicated and motivated
Customer Service Assistant with Sales Support
to join our team on a maternity cover contract.
This individual will play a vital role in ensuring our customers have an exceptional experience while supporting the sales team to meet organisational goals. You will handle customer inquiries, provide timely solutions, and assist the sales team with administrative duties and order processing to drive sales performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat.
Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a professional and efficient manner.
Provide product/service information and assist customers in making informed decisions.
Maintain accurate customer records, including contact information, order details, and interactions.
Assist customers with returns, exchanges, and refunds, adhering to company policies.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and follow up on feedback to improve service quality.
Prepare and update customer service data base, tracking metrics to support sales goals.
Sales Support:
Assist the sales team with order entry, processing, and tracking.
Help with preparing sales orders and invoices.
Coordinate with inventory and shipping departments to ensure timely order fulfilment.
Manage customer accounts and assist in upselling or cross-selling products.
Maintain product knowledge to support the sales team with accurate information.
Administrative Support:
Maintain organised filing systems for customer orders, correspondence, and sales data.
Handle other administrative duties as assigned to support team operations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in customer service, sales, or administrative support preferred.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
