Job Description

Our successful Hay-on-Wye office is now seeking a permanent, full time Customer Support Advisor to join their friendly and welcoming team, where you will play a key role in the success of managing and expanding local business, focusing on motor and personal insurance, by ensuring our customers receive first-class service.

As a Customer Support Advisor, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be the backbone of the team, delivering the best possible customer service to new and existing customers. We\xe2\x80\x99re all about warm personalities, quality conversations and a customer-first attitude, so bring a willingness to learn and we\xe2\x80\x99ll train you to handle enquiries, provide insurance quotes and renewals, and perform general sales tasks.

It is required for you to complete internal licencing to allow you to support our customers effectively and to industry regulations. You will be given full training and have plenty of opportunity to continually develop your knowledge and skills to sell professionally and compliantly.

Additional duties include:

• Setting up new and servicing existing polices
• Reviewing and amending policies
• Investigating and processing claims
• Administering all customer instructions to completion and compliance standards
• Acquiring and maintaining a working knowledge of NFU Mutual General Insurance products

About you

You will be both enthusiastic and passionate for delivering the very best customer service whilst also having a continuing desire to build relationships with customers and colleagues alike. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also possess the following:

• Experience in a sales and/or customer service focused role
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own time effectively
• A strong willingness to learn and positive can-do attitude
• Ability to problem solve and use own initiative and judgment
• A desire to support local, rural communities who we serve

This role falls under Insurance Distribution Directive requirements, and as a result, role holders will be required to demonstrate ongoing Continuous Professional Development in role, along with undergoing regular re-screening to show that they are of \xe2\x80\x9cGood Repute\xe2\x80\x9d.
