We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant to support our team in providing high-quality childcare services. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with experience working with children. Duties
Assist in planning and implementing educational activities suitable for early childhood development
Support lead staff in supervising children during play, meals, and rest periods
Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment within the childcare setting
Engage with children through interactive play and educational exercises to promote learning and social skills
Support organisational tasks such as preparing materials and managing daily routines
Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children to ensure smooth daily operations
Uphold all health and safety regulations in line with organisational policies
Requirements
Proven experience with children, ideally within nursery or early childhood education settings
Good communication skills in Welsh and English, both verbal and written
Childcare qualifications (
L2 Early Years and Childcare Learning and Development
) and relevant nursery experience are highly desirable
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating initiative
Organised with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
Passionate about early childhood development and creating a positive environment for young learners
