Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated

Damp and Mould Remedial Technician

to execute planned remedial works as directed by our Surveying team. The primary focus of this role is the practical application of damp proofing solutions, mould eradication treatments, and the installation of ventilation systems.

Key Responsibilities



The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out scheduled remedial works based on detailed work specifications provided by certified surveyors:

Mould Remediation:

Prepare and secure work areas, including dust sheeting and segregation, to prevent cross-contamination. Execute professional mould cleaning and eradication using appropriate biocides and cleaning agents, strictly following COSHH and safety protocols. Remove and dispose of contaminated materials responsibly.

Damp Proofing Installation:

Install various damp proofing systems, including chemical Damp Proof Course (DPC) injections into masonry walls. Apply waterproof renders and tanking slurries in basements or sub-ground level areas. Fit and seal cavity drain membranes as per specification.

Ventilation Installation:

Install, test, and commission domestic ventilation units, including Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) systems and various types of extractor fans. Ensure all electrical connections (where applicable) are safe and ready for final certification by a qualified electrician, or possess the competency to perform minor electrical work if appropriately qualified.

Making Good & Finishing:

Perform high-quality finishing work, including

plastering

and rendering, to reinstate areas disturbed during the remedial process. Leave the worksite clean, tidy, and ready for customer handover.

Health and Safety:

Strictly adhere to all site-specific and company Health and Safety procedures, especially when working with chemicals and power tools. Maintain and use all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) correctly.

Communication:

Liaise clearly with the Planner regarding work progress, material needs, and any unforeseen site issues.
The ideal candidate will have a full driving licence, vehicle and UTR number.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 160.00 per day

Work Location: On the road
