About us

Young Performers is a performing arts school in Cirencester. Teaching dance / musical theatre and acro to students aged 3 to 18yrs. We pride ourselves on the high level of training we offer to all our students, as well as our welcoming inclusive and supportive family community feel. Young Performers has its very own premises fully equipped with 3 dance studios, 1 music room and 1 large gymnasium in which we have held show cases, as well as a dedicated space for costumes and a sewing room.

Dance / Musical Theatre & Acro Teachers

Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver lessons to students of various ages and skill levels
- Teach a variety of dance styles, including ballet, jazz, tap, modern and contemporary/ vocal teaching and Gymnastic skill and technique teaching.
- Create choreography for performances and competitions
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their technique and performance skills
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students
- Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress and upcoming events
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to coordinate performances and events

Experience:

- Previous experience as an instructor or professional dancer preferred. But happy to chat to first time teachers looking for their first teaching job.
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in multiple dance styles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with students of all ages and skill levels
- Patience, enthusiasm, and passion for teaching dance

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
