We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our vibrant dance studio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance, excellent communication skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching students of all ages and skill levels. Duties
Deliver engaging and structured dance lessons across various styles suitable for different age groups and skill levels
Develop customised lesson plans that cater to individual student needs and progressions
Provide constructive feedback to help students improve technique, confidence, and performance
Organise and supervise rehearsals for upcoming performances or competitions
Maintain a safe and inclusive environment that encourages creativity and enjoyment
Assist with studio organisation, including scheduling classes and managing student attendance records
Participate in community events, workshops, and promotional activities to promote the studio's programmes
Stay updated with current dance trends and pedagogical best practices to ensure high-quality instruction
Skills
Proven experience as a dance instructor or performer with proficiency in multiple dance styles (e.g., ballet, jazz, contemporary)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to motivate and engage students effectively
Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles and age groups
Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan lessons ahead of time
Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude that fosters a supportive learning environment
Certification in dance instruction or relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
A commitment to ongoing professional development within the dance community
