We are recruiting for an exceptional Dance Teacher!

Join our 'family' of staff at Razzamataz Theatre Schools Derby. Where our ethos is based on nurturing talent not only in our students but in our staff team, coaching you into becoming the best you can be, in ever developing roles. We teacher dance, drama and singing in equal lessons to ages 2-18.

The role:

We are looking for a Dance Teacher, working regular Saturday Mornings during term time; teaching both musical theatre dance styles and commercial dance styles.
We are looking for a positive, warm, energetic individual. You must be passionate about working with children aged 6-11 within our school. There may be future scope for more days/hours of teaching work for the right candidate.

Location - Derby

Times - 10:00-12:00

Commencing - September 2025. (With onboarding process during August)

Whether you are an experienced dance teacher or an experienced performer/dancer, we want to hear from you if you are passionate about teaching young people to perform!

The deadline for applications is 12 midday Monday 11th August 2025.

Interviews are likely to be held week commencing 11th August 2025.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS clearance and suitable references.

The ideal candidate must meet the following ESSENTIAL criteria;

Experience teaching dance to under 18's

Demonstrable skill/knowledge and training in dance to a significant level

A sound understanding and knowledge of current safeguarding and child protection practice

Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and obtain a Chaperone Licence if not already in possession of

Proven experience of preparing material / choreographing for a large scale performance

The ideal candidate may also meet the following DESIRABLE criteria;

Previous professional performing experience

An additional arts / theatre industry skill

Have a relevant performing arts / education qualification, eg. Degree, MA, ISTD, BTDA, QTS

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 20.00-26.00 per hour
