We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our vibrant dance studio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to inspire students of all ages and skill levels. This role offers an opportunity to share your love of dance while helping students develop their technique, confidence, and enjoyment of movement. The Dance Instructor will be responsible for delivering engaging classes, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting our studio's community spirit.
Duties
Plan and deliver high-quality dance classes tailored to various age groups and skill levels, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced students.
Demonstrate proper technique and form while providing constructive feedback to optimise student progress.
Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that encourages students to express themselves through dance.
Monitor student attendance and progress, maintaining accurate records of participation and achievements.
Organise and participate in studio events, performances, and workshops to enhance student engagement.
Collaborate with studio staff to develop new programmes and improve existing offerings.
Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to health and safety guidelines during classes.
Promote the studio's activities through social media and community outreach initiatives.
Experience
Proven experience as a dance instructor or professional dancer with a strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across different dance styles such as ballet, jazz, lyrical and tap. We do have enquiries about highland so a bonus if you are experienced here too.
Previous teaching experience is preferred but not essential; relevant internships or training programmes will be considered.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students of all ages.
A recognised qualification in dance or performing arts is desirable but not mandatory if accompanied by substantial practical experience.
Passion for dance education coupled with patience, enthusiasm, and organisational skills are essential for success in this role. This position provides an exciting opportunity for passionate dancers to share their expertise while fostering a love of movement within our community.
