Welcome to our international community of teenagers 12-17 in Ludlow, Shropshire. This is dance project with a global twist.

Working from our incredible boarding school campus, you will facilitate dance students from around the world ranging from beginner to advanced to work together and create a 25-45 minute show.

Styles:

Step 1:

Develop dance techniques

Step 2:

Facilitate students choreographing and rehearsing show

Step 3:

Deliver show live on stage at the theatre

Lesson times:

1315-1430 (1 hour 15 mins) 1445-1600 (1 hour 15 mins)

Dates:

Project 1: over 4 days:

Day 1: Monday July 21 Day 2: Tuesday July 22 Day 3: Thursday July 24 Day 4: Friday July 25 (Final Performance 1700-1800)
Project 2: over 4 days:

Day 1: Monday July 28 Day 2: Tuesday July 29 Day 3: Thursday July 31 Day 4: Friday August 1 (Final Performance 1700-1800)

Salary:

25.16 per hour

- basic knowledge of

teaching

Dance

E.g. Experienced performer in dance shows.

No formal dance

teaching qualifications, but lots of experience teaching dance and putting together shows.

28.60 per hour - professional skills in

teaching

Dance

E.g. BA Performing Arts /

qualified dance teacher.

PGCE Dance or equivalent: professional employee of a company specializing in teaching dance in schools. Able to provide some props and costumes e.g. from past Musical Theatre shows to support delivery.

Salary breakdown for each course:

10 hours contact time paid @ 25.16-28.60 per hour 1 hour final performance paid @ 25.16-28.60 per hour 2 hours preparation time paid @ 25.16-28.60 per hour

Salary range:

(1125.16) + (2*25.16) = 327.08 for

each

course
(1128.60) + (2*28.60) = 371.80 for

each

course

Total amount for 2 projects with 10 hours of contact time = 654.16-743.60

Other benefits:

DBS: if you do not have a portable DBS, we will make a 50% contribution 32.60*
