Position Overview
We are seeking an energetic and creative
Dance Teacher / Supervisor
to lead an after-schoolDance Club
at a primary school located20 minutes from Reading
. This role provides the opportunity to inspire children through movement, helping them develop coordination, confidence, teamwork, and creativity in a fun and supportive environment.The club runs for
one hour per week, 3:30pm - 4:30pm
, on eitherWednesday or Thursday
, giving children a weekly chance to explore dance and build their skills.Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise children during dance activities, maintaining a safe and positive environment. Plan and deliver age-appropriate sessions that develop physical skills, confidence, and creativity. Encourage teamwork, self-expression, and enthusiasm for dance. Maintain clear communication with parents and school staff about children's progress. Ensure the dance space and equipment are safe, organized, and ready for use.
Experience & Skills
Experience teaching or leading dance sessions for children. Ability to engage and motivate children in a structured, fun, and creative way. Strong communication skills in English for interacting with children, parents, and school staff. A background in dance education is highly desirable.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 per week
