We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Teacher to join our well established school in East Yorkshire. The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified ISTD teacher with experience in teaching children from walking to 18 years. Excellent communication skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and inspiring students of all ages and skill levels is a must. This role offers an opportunity to make a difference in a big school with supportive families and wonderful pupils. Students standard is high so a continuous development of their technique, confidence, and performance skills is essential. Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging dance classes tailored to various age groups and skill levels, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced students.
Demonstrate proper dance techniques and ensure students understand movement fundamentals.
Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills and build confidence.
Create a positive, motivating and fun atmosphere that encourages student participation and enjoyment.
Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly to meet individual needs.
Maintain a safe environment by ensuring all studio equipment is used correctly and safety protocols are followed.
Assist with organising performances, workshops, or special events as required.
Keep accurate attendance records and communicate regularly with students and parents regarding class schedules or progress.
Qualifications
ISTD DDE or higher with experience in teaching a variety of genres from pre school to 18 years.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire learners of all ages.
Any additional qualifications in other genres a big advantage.
A friendly, professional attitude with strong organisational skills.
Ability to work as part of a team to ensure the delivery of quality teaching at all times.
A genuine passion for teaching dance and children and their families.
Prior experience working with diverse age groups is desirable but not mandatory.
