We are a well established dance academy where every child matters, our goal is to create a space for pupils to be themselves and learn to dance with family.
We support and respect all our staff and strive to provide a positive, welcoming work environment. Our dance studios are equipped with mirrors, barres, sprung floor, music system, mats and a variety of teaching aids. We have regular check ins with staff to ensure they can voice any thoughts. We set all staff KPIs, giving them the opportunity to earn bonuses, cash or vouchers.
We are looking to welcome a dance teacher, teaching Jazz & Acro, Ballet & Tap or contemporary
You are expected to teach a an engaging, well planned, fun and nourishing class. You will be required to plan and choreograph show and exam work. Write individual reports at the end of the acadmic year, attend rehearsals and half termly staff meetings.
Admin wages are: 12.50 per hour. This is paid when you attending rehearsals, shows and meetings
Teaching wage: 20 per hour. This paymnet covers your class teaching hours and incorporates class planning.
Previous teaching experience is preferred but not not necassery. It is important we get the right person who will fit into our team smoothly.
You must hold an acro teaching certification to apply. Acrobatic Arts is preffered but other teaching certofocates are welcome.

Following this we will then ask you to teach a class or part of a class. This will be paid as a teaching wage.
The succesful applicant will then be required to shadow our current teacher in July. This allows them to get a good feel for the academy, before starting to teach. This will be paid as an admin wage.
We always offer our teachers the chance to put forward a holiday workshop.
Hours: term time only
mondays:
Jazz & Acro combination class: age 9+, 4.15-5.30pm
Jazz & Acro combination class: age 11+, 5.30-6.45pm
Jazz class: age 13+, 7-8.15pm
Acro class, age 13+, 8.15-8.45pm
Tuesdays:
ballet & tap combination class: age 7+ 4.30-5.45pm
ballet class: age 8+, 5.50-6.40pm
Fridays:
contemporary: age 7+, 4.15-5.15 and age 10+, 5.15-6.15
