Data Cabling Engineer
Lincolnshire

Competitive Rates of Pay (dependant on experience).

Key Responsibilities

Your role will include installing structured data cabling, Category 5e, Category 6, CAT6A Copper cabling and optical fibre in a range of environments (construction, education and commercial). Splicing optical fibre with a fusion splicer. Testing copper and fibre installations with Fluke Network Testers Undertake fault finding and rectification of cabling issues

Essential Competencies And Skills

Experience of installing of Category 5e, Category 6, Category 6A and Optical Fibre cabling Experience of installing containment, conduit and basket Knowledge of networking equipment (Network switches, wireless access points, media convertors). ECS or CSCS required. Physically fit and confident at working at heights (IPAF preferred but can be arranged) DBS checked (but can be arranged). Enthusiastic and self-driven Flexibility to work away from home, work weekends and out-of-hours as necessary Ability to read and understand construction plans Full UK driving Licence Must be able to report to our office in Lincoln (LN6) on a daily basis.
