THE ROLE

New Look is operating a modern Enterprise Data Platform stack -- including a Databricks-based lakehouse architecture, Amperity for Customer Data Platform (CDP) enrichment, Power BI for enterprise analytics with InfoRiver writeback extension and SAP Business Objects for self-service reporting.



The Data Platform Service Manager will run the Data Platform Service team to ensure the ongoing operations, stability, support, performance, and cost-efficiency of the Enterprise Data Platform and associated services. The Data Platform Service Manager owns platform SLAs and is responsible for continuous service improvement, incident and problem management, FinOps accountability, supplier management, and effective support processes across Databricks, Amperity, Power BI, and Business Objects.



This is a strategic role that will not only operate the service as it is today but also shape the future service as the platform grows in complexity and operational importance to the business

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Lead the Data Platform Service Management function, including co-ordinating on-call across the service and engineering teams. Define and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and service metrics. Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes. Manage platform upgrades, patching, and service continuity. Own vendor support and escalation processes. Ensure platform operations align with security and compliance standards. Collaborate with engineering leads to manage deployment pipelines and platform automation. Lead FinOps management practices to monitor, optimise, and report on cloud and platform spend. Own supplier and support contract relationships, renewals, and performance monitoring. Shape and scale the support model to cater for increasing platform complexity, including 24/7 support readiness for industrialised data science, AI solutions, and operational data products.

Additional hours and on-call as required to fulfil duties.

WHO YOU ARE

Solid understanding of Azure cloud operations and enterprise data platforms. Experience managing SLAs, FinOps, and supplier contracts. Familiarity with Databricks, Power BI, and Amperity support models. Knowledge of ITIL or other service frameworks. Proven capability in scaling service support to meet critical operational needs. A degree in IT or related business topic (desirable)
