Overview

We are seeking a skilled Database Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database design, development, and management, with expertise in various programming languages and data modeling techniques. This role is essential for ensuring the integrity, performance, and security of our databases while supporting our data warehousing initiatives.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain database systems to support business applications and data warehousing solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Implement ETL processes using tools such as SSIS to ensure efficient data integration and transformation. Optimize database performance through effective indexing, query tuning, and resource management. Conduct data modeling activities to create logical and physical data models that meet business needs. Write complex SQL queries for data retrieval, manipulation, and reporting purposes. Utilize programming languages such as Java and Python for database-related development tasks. Ensure compliance with data governance policies and best practices for database security. Participate in Agile development processes to deliver high-quality solutions in a timely manner.

Experience

Proficiency in SQL and experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases. Strong understanding of Linux operating systems for database management tasks. Familiarity with PL/SQL for Oracle database development is preferred. Experience in data modeling techniques and tools is essential. Knowledge of Agile methodologies to facilitate collaborative project work. Excellent analysis skills to troubleshoot issues and optimize database performance.
