We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in a care home. This role involves assisting clients with daily living.
Responsibilities
To provide care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements, reflecting policies and procedures and agreed standards under the direction of the Senior Carer/Nurse
To support and enable individuals to maintain skills and personal interests whilst delivering person-centred care unique to each individual
To maintain skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as required, from time to time, to maintain and progress knowledge
The Carer's responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Ensure individuals are at the heart of care delivery and that their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing
To contribute to the efficient running of the service
Support individuals to maintain their relationships and connections with the local community
Ensure personal plans and other information about how to support individuals are followed
Be responsible for informing the Senior Carer/Nurse of any changes in the needs of individuals
Be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service
Develop effective working relationships with other employees within the service
Work in cooperation with members of the multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for individuals
Other duties and responsibilities to be undertaken may include any (or all) of the items in the following list:

Be a role model for other carers and be an ambassador for the service;
Be professional, polite and reasonable at all times;
Attend statutory training and any other training as directed by management;
Commit to achieving the relevant qualifications commensurate with the role;

Requirements
Previous experience in home care or a similar role is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
A valid driving licence is essential due to location
A caring attitude with a genuine interest in supporting individuals with diverse needs.
Rate of Pay
Non NVQ - 12.60 an hour
QCF 2 - 12.82 an hour
QCF 3 - 13.04
